Driver (CDL)
Job Title: Driver (CDL)
Reports To: Dispatcher
Department: Delivery
Summary: Drives CDL truck to jobsites and unloads materials, picks up materials from
manufacturer and manages assigned helper on jobsite by performing the following
duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Drives CDL truck.*
2. Loads shingles on rooftops.*
3. Checks load for accuracy.*
4. Ties down truck/materials.*
5. Communicates with customer/roofer on where materials need to go.*
6. Maintains trucks.*
7. Inspects trucks.*
8. Pulls metal products for roof system.*
9. Inspects safety gear.*
10. Operates crane if certified.*
11. Trains CDL permit holders, new drivers and helpers.*
12. Trains new hires how to operate boom and conveyors.*
13. Pulls trailer with doubles and triple endorsement.*
14. Helps pulls orders and cleans around warehouse.
15. Drives forklift and CDL trucks.
16. Demonstrates ability to work on sloped surfaces.
17. Any other tasks determined necessary by your supervisor.

Education/Experience:
One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates and Licenses:
Crane school if applicable
Class A or B commercial driver's license with doubles, triples and HAZMat endorsement
Forklift certification
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Helper Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
